Natural Horsemanship Lessons

Natural Horsemanship (horse whispering) is the philosophy of working with horses by appealing to their natural herd instincts. It involves communication techniques derived from the wild horse observation in order to build a partnership that closely resembles the relationship between horses. Shelley believes this is only this way to truly learn about horses and dealing with them safely. These types of lessons do not focus on riding the horse, instead they focus on learning how to read, communicate, and engage horses in their native "language." Riding a horse is secondary only to understanding how a horse is feeling at any given moment. To learn this, a student must develop a strong sense of horsemanship skills. It is these skills that are Shelley's secret to safe riding practices.
